Most of our Saudi inquiries are one of two trips. The first is the honeymoon: a private safari followed by Zanzibar, which is over 95% Muslim, full of halal restaurants, and 90 minutes by air from the Serengeti. Private vehicle, private guide, private villa on the beach. It is hard to design a better halal honeymoon anywhere.
The second is the family trip. Zero time difference means children never leave their sleep schedule. A private vehicle sets its own pace. Lodges with family rooms and pools exist across the whole circuit, and children under 16 pay reduced park fees.

Questions from Saudi Arabia
Are there direct flights from Saudi Arabia to Tanzania?
Not yet. From Jeddah or Riyadh you connect once, and the connections are short. The fastest routing is via Nairobi with Kenya Airways at around 7 hours 50 minutes total to Zanzibar. Qatar Airways via Doha flies directly to Kilimanjaro Airport, which is the best option if your safari starts in Arusha. Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa is usually the cheapest and serves both Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. Round trips start around $600.
Do Saudi citizens need a visa for Tanzania?
Yes. Saudi passport holders apply for the ordinary single-entry eVisa at visa.immigration.go.tz for $50. It allows a stay of up to 90 days. Apply on the official government portal only, ideally three weeks before travel, since processing can take up to 10 business days. Visa on arrival is possible but means queuing at the airport after your flight.
What about expats living in Saudi Arabia?
Your iqama does not matter to Tanzania; your passport does. Most nationalities working in KSA (Egyptian, Pakistani, Indian, Jordanian, Filipino, British) qualify for the same $50 ordinary eVisa. US passport holders are the exception and must take the $100 multiple-entry visa. Check your specific nationality on the official portal before booking.
What is the time difference between Saudi Arabia and Tanzania?
Zero. Both countries are on GMT+3. You land in the same time zone you left, which means no jet lag at all: children stay on schedule, prayer times barely shift, and you are fresh for a game drive the morning after arrival. Very few long-haul destinations can offer that from KSA.
When is the best time to visit Tanzania from Saudi Arabia?
June to October is the dry season: cool weather, short grass, and wildlife concentrated around water. July to September brings the Great Migration river crossings in the northern Serengeti, and it overlaps with the Saudi summer holidays, when Arusha at 25°C is a relief from 45°C at home. December to February is the second window, with calving season in Ndutu and excellent predator sightings.
Is Tanzania good for a halal honeymoon?
It is the strongest halal honeymoon destination in Africa. A private safari is already a couples' trip: your own vehicle, your own guide, no strangers. Then Zanzibar, which is over 95% Muslim, gives you halal food everywhere, and hotels with private villas and plunge pools. Is a Tanzania safari suitable for families with children?
Yes, and Tanzanian culture is warmly child-friendly. Private safaris work far better for families than group tours: your own vehicle means you stop when the kids need to, eat when they are hungry, and head back when they are tired. How much does a Tanzania safari cost from Saudi Arabia?
Flights from Jeddah or Riyadh run roughly $600 to $1,000 return. The safari itself at mid-range private level is $400 to $700 per person per day, covering lodges, park fees, vehicle, and guide. A 7-day private safari for two lands between $6,000 and $9,000 before flights. Everything is priced in US dollars, and with the riyal pegged at 3.75 there are no currency surprises. Is halal food available on safari?
With us, halal is the standard, not a request. Tanzania has a large Muslim population, so halal meat is widely available, and we confirm the kitchen arrangements at every lodge and camp on your route. Prayer times are built into the daily plan, and during Ramadan we arrange game drives around suhoor and iftar.
